Project Supported by the Cornwall County Badminton Association (CCBA) Club Development Fund

St Piran’s Badminton is growing fast!
What began as four friends playing together has quickly developed into a vibrant club of around 50 players, meeting every Monday evening in Truro.

Over the past year, we’ve had to adapt quickly — from keeping up with Badminton England regulations to managing rising costs for hall hire and shuttles. As a new club without legacy funds, this hasn’t always been easy.

A huge thank you to Cornwall Badminton
Their financial support has been essential in helping us stay sustainable during our second season. The funding has directly supported court hire, ensuring we can continue offering regular, affordable sessions for our members. It has also helped us run a successful social media campaign, attracting both new and returning players to the sport.

What’s new?
• Our membership continues to grow
• New players of all levels are joining every month
• We’ve entered our first local league team — and we’re already competitive!
• The club is thriving as a friendly, welcoming community where everyone can enjoy badminton and improve their game

We’re proud of how far we’ve come — and we’re just getting started.
Come join us on court!
