Shane’s impressive debut appearance at the Duchy “Open”

Apologies, from the Writer/Cornwall Badminton Press Officer, John Tresidder, who omitted the following, inadvertently, in his column:
Shane Maton, aged 16, a former student at Callington College, who has just started out on an Electrical Apprenticeship, played impressively, in his debut Duchy of Cornwall “Open” Badminton Championships, held at Carn Brea Leisure Centre, in September.
Shane defeated Sameer Vaid, from Middlesex, 11/15, 15/8, 15/2, in the 66-person competition, to progress to the second round in the singles discipline.

Well done, indeed, Shane, from the Writer and the Cornwall Badminton Fraternity!
