BADMINTON PREVIEW - KERRIER 6TH JUNIOR TOURNAMENT The Ever-popular 6th Kerrier Event, organised by the Camborne–based First Edition Badminton Club, which is held twice yearly, is being staged at Truro School, Trennick Lane, Truro, this Saturday and Sunday, April 16th / 17th, with registration at 10.00am on each day, writes John Tresidder. The Event is being run under the umbrella of Cornwall Youth Badminton (CYB), with Financial Assistance and the Venue provided by permission of Mr. Paul Smith, Headmaster of Truro School & The School Governors. The tournament is designed to encourage entries from as many young people as possible, irrespective of playing experience. Programme: Boys’ and Girls’ Singles and Level Doubles are included on the programme, with the Under-13 & Under-15 age groups competing on the first day, with the Under-17’s taking the baton on Sunday. With the exception of the finals, each event will be played on the round robin format. Age Qualification: Under-13 Event: Players must have been born in 1992, or later, to qualify; Under-15 Event: Players must have been born in 1990, or later; Under-17 Event: Players must have been born in 1988, or later.
