BADMINTON OBITUARY: MR. DUTCHY HOLLANDS Dutchy Hollands, a badminton player, administrator, coach and stalwart, generally, from Reawla, Gwinear, near Hayle, sadly passed away, aged 82, on March 21st. Mr. Hollands, a Retired Royal Naval Officer, held many senior badminton posts in Cornwall, including being the Treasurer for The Cornwall Schools’ Badminton Association, together with the Duchy of Cornwall “Open” Badminton Championships, in its formative years, from 1982-1987. Condolences and deepest sympathies are extended to Pat, Dutchy’s devoted wife, Family and his Tecans Club (Pool), from the West Cornwall Badminton League and the Cornish Badminton Community as a whole. Mr. Hollands’ funeral service was held at Penmount Crematorium, Near Truro, on Thursday, 31st March. Mr. Mike Avery, the President of The Cornwall County Badminton Association, together with his wife, Pauline, A Former Honorary County Badminton Secretary, attended and also represented the Cornwall Badminton Fraternity.
